You’ll be spending almost the entire day with your photographer, in addition to loving style, having an in-person or phone interview is a great way to make sure we vibe. Here are a few question and answers that may help you with your decision.

AVAILABILITY

Is my wedding date available? Please schedule a call to discuss
Will you be the one shooting my wedding? If not, can I meet the photographer who will be on-site? Yes
How many other weddings will you photograph that weekend? If i photograph another wedding it would only be one wedding per day so that i can focus on yours.
Will you have any assistants with you on our wedding day? If you have pre booked one yes.

BACKGROUND CHECK
How long have you been shooting weddings? How many weddings have you photographed? I have been shooting weddings for over 10 years. I have shot over 100 beautiful weddings. 
Do you often shoot weddings that have a similar size and style to the one we are planning? I have photographed small elopments through to large different cultural weddings
Can we see the full galleries of a few of your recent weddings? Of course. 
Have you ever shot a wedding at our ceremony and reception venues? If not, do you plan to check the venues out in advance? I have shot at alot of wedding venues around Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast. If i have not been there, planning a visit can sometimes be uneventful as light and weather changes all the time. So it will be different from your wedding day. Most often the couple likes a venue for specific reasons and alof of the time already know where they want photos so they are on the list already. I will often go early before the wedding to also take a look around the venue. In particularly if there is no plan of course as i always like to have a plan. I also like to grab a few shots of the reception area if it has been set up.
Have you ever worked with our planner? Videographer? Florist? DJ? Sometimes just please check beforehand. Either way an experienced Videographer and Photographer will know how to work with each other very quickly as there are certain rules/unspoken rules but we also have a quick chat on the day. We generally dont need to have worked with anyone else to get our job done as it makes no difference.

STYLE
How would you describe your photography style? My style is documentary, candid, editorial, relaxed, fun. 
How would you describe your working style? Do you prefer to blend into the background to capture candid moments, or do you like to be more visible and take charge to choreograph images? I do both at appropriate times. So there are times you need to blend and there are times you need to shine. I am definitely not a wall flower and will speak up to get everything moving.
Are you a natural light photographer or an artificial light photographer? I am both.  Fortunately so, as a wedding is full of surprises and i can comfortably photograph anywhere. There is definitely a time and place for both.
Do you shoot digitally? With film? Or both? Digitally.
Do you shoot in RAW? Yes

PRICING AND PACKAGES
What is included in your standard package? What add-ons do the more expensive packages include? My standard package is your basic package. So you can choose 3, 6, 8 or 10 hours. Extra photographer. Videographer. Album. Prints. Canvas. Design meeting to help design a wall for prints.
Can I customize a package to fit my needs? Of course. 
Do you include engagement photos in your packages? What about pre-wedding events like rehearsal dinners? I can include engagement photos in packages. No rehearsal dinners as i think its unnecessary for an experienced photographer. If there is anything out of the ordinary you are encouraged to discuss with your photographer.
How many hours are included in each package? How much do extra hours cost? 3,6,8 or 10. Each package is different so would be based on package you select for additional hours cost.
Do you offer a photo booth? No
Do you offer retouching, color adjustment, or other corrective services? Are those included or an additional charge? Yes. We edit all photos. We can do a select few if you want something changed. Photoshop can be an additional charge to remove people, add people, turn buttonholes around etc. Always best to get the image right in camera.
Do you charge a travel fee? For what distance? If the location is central to Brisbane (say an hour/hour and a half) no travel fee. When its closer to 2 hours there will be a travel fee.
Over a certain distance, you may be required to pay for your photographer’s lodging, as well if unreasonable distance to drive home after a long day. Max 2.5 hours from Brisbane.

PRINTS & ALBUMS
Can we order prints or albums directly from you? You certainly can, please speak to us about that option.
What type of album do you offer? Do you provide assistance selecting images and designing the album? We offer very high quality albums as our higher priced albums and a more budget option aswell. The more budget option is still beautiful though. Details to be placed on our website soon. I can either design for you, we can design together or you can choose.
Are albums or prints included in your packages? How many pages or prints are included, and what is the turnaround time? 
Will we have the rights to the images?
Will we receive the high resolution digital images? Is there a fee for that? Yes you will receive the high resolution digital images and no there is no fee.
Will the images be accessible online? For how long? Yes. For 3 months.

LOGISTICS
When will we receive the contract? After agreeing to the booking via email.
How much of a deposit do you require? When is it due? I would require around $400. Due when booking your date.
Do you accept payments in installations? Yes. Or just in full before the day.
What is your refund or cancellation policy? Non refundable deposit policy.
Do you have liability insurance? Does it cover your assistants, as well? Yes I have liability insurance and so do my assistants.
Do you carry backup equipment? Yes always.
What is the backup plan if you are unable to shoot my wedding for an unexpected reason? I have a list of highly regarded and trusted and tried photographers that are on standby.
How will you and your assistants be dressed? We will be smart casual. I usually wear black pants and black shoes and a shirt. Jacket in winter.
Can we request a list of specific shots we would like? You can request some shots. We dont like to take too many requests though as working through your list will take longer and depletes the creative process a bit. Also we are on a tight schedule. I am happy for you to throw in a few suggestions if you think of it on the go as we are shooting.
When do we receive the images back? Within 8 weeks.
When can we order an album? Once the images are delivered.
Will you be posting about our wedding on your website and social media? Yes
Will you be submitting our photos to magazines or blogs? Potentially, yes.
